Hello! My name is Noé Rodríguez Daporta and I'm a videogame, software and multimedia localization specialist from Galicia, the Northwest of Spain. I have been working as a remote freelance translator for four years now and I'm currently looking for new opportunities to grow in the Localization industry.
I graduated in Translation and Interpreting (EN-ES) at the University of Vigo, Spain, in 2019. I also obtained a Master's Degree in Multimedia Translation in 2022 at the same University.
I have translated and localized videogames from many different genres, from mobile phone games to AAA titles. I could send a more ellaborated list of the vast majority of the games I've worked in (NDAs don't allow me to send all of them) if you'd like to proceed with the recruitment! And regarding software, I work in the localization of a very famous voice, video and text chat app, among others.
Regarding my multimedia background, I have translated a wide variety of movies (from animation to horror films), documentaries, reality shows, and subtitled a few game shows and YouTube videos. Also some conference videos for major videogames events.
I'm also fond in technical translation (like machines descriptions, user manuals, hardware, and engineering products), legal texts (specially NDAs, Privacy Policies, and Terms and Conditions), medical texts (prospects and some bilateral interpretings), and a lot of marketing texts, specially related to the videogames industry.
About the languages I'm fluent with, I'm a native Spanish (Spain) and Galician speaker, I've been studying English since I was 3 years old, so my level is almost native and I also speak French (advanced level) and Portuguese (basic level).
I have a lot of experience with CAT tools, specially with MemoQ and Memsource (which I use almost on a daily basis), and also with SDLTrados and some reviewing softwares.
