I have worked with children and adults with dementia, a wide variety of learning disabilities, physical disabilities and metal health issues. I have worked in hostels of people with alcohol and drug dependencies and in respite care, which includes manual handling, doing personal cares, cleaning, ordering food, helping with general hygiene, toileting, making beds, offering support, calming and reassuring. Additionally I have worked in schools with disabled children with complex needs.
I have done a variety of courses in the arts and have a bachelors of Arts degree. Also I have worked as a pet sitter in various different countries.
I enjoy challenging myself with everything I do. I am a very organised person and I like to prioritise and can work well under pressure. I like to be efficient while giving a good quality service. I have such strong communication skills, that I can even communicate non- verbally, as I am trained in Makaton, a language similar to British sign language. I am highly motivated and feel I will excel in my job role as I have done previously. I am currently learning Spanish and have trained up to B1 standard so far. I have outstanding references from the British council and my other previous employers, please just ask.
